Ceradyn Replacement Element
The Katadyn Ceradyn Element is a ceramic replacement filter for the Katadyn TRK Drip Ceradyn System. The Katadyn TRK Ceradyn Drip Filter Replacement Cartridge is the heart of the Katadyn Drip Filter System. Three of the Katadyn Ceradyn Replacement Filters are used in the system.
Ceramic filters have a micro porous structure with impregnated silver which delays the growth of bacteria. The pore-size of Katadyn ceramic filters is 0.2 micron (0.0002 mm). Bacteria range in size from 0.2 to 5 micron and, like protozoa (1 to 15 micron), are efficiently filtered out.
Microporous Ceramic retains suspended solids and safely traps all
harmful bacteria and parasites like Cryptosporidium and Giardia, without
removing essential minerals. The silver-impregnated Ceramic works
against bacteria growth. Silver Quartz inside the element controls any
possible recontamination through the tab outlet. Katadyn Ceramic
provides fresh and natural tasting drinking water without using
chemicals.
